Summary: The cottage is secluded in the woods, which is a major plus. Situated on a hill, it offers peace and a beautiful view of nature. However, it means you need to drive at least 10 minutes to reach the nearest shop or bakery. The house was well-equipped, with mosquito nets in all rooms, so we had no issues with insects. We did miss having parasols by the pool.We would recommend this vacation home, but not for families with small children like ours. The house is not suited for them, and the garden is not enclosed, posing a constant risk of falls. Despite informing our arrival time in advance, no one was there to welcome us (the key was in the door). Later, Madeleine came by to give a brief explanation. It was nice that she lived next door and occasionally dropped by (e.g., with tomatoes or to lend laundry detergent).
