Positive: It was a beautiful hotel just outside of Florence. It was bit too costly but it was during New Year so all hotels were costly then. Staff was really helpful and friendly during our stay. Beautiful views of Florence from our hotel windows. We absolutely loved the restaurant that we found just down the street from the apartment and it was easy to get a bus and go to Florence too as driving in Italy is just crazy so we tried to avoid it where possible :).

Negative: At first we didn't like plastic cups for drinking in the rooms and no space to get together with our family as rooms were just big enough to go to sleep, but then we made it work and staff lended us glasses from dining rooms downstairs so all worked out well. We didn't like when someone parked their car just outside the main hotel gate when we were trying to depart as we could not easily manoeuvre out with our big cars and there was no other way out into the small alley & reception staff didn't seem to be bothered by it when we asked them for help (apparently it's a normal thing in Italy :)) So yes get used to people driving crazy and parking even crazier in Italy.
