Positive: Marie was a very helpful host. We had some maintenance issues whilst we were there which she was very responsive to. The pool was very clean and regularly attended to. Our one year old grand daughter went in everyday. There is ample space for eating outside - 3 different locations on the property so very easy for large groups to have some personal space. The large BBQ was "rustic" . There was always hot water for showers and washing up. The kitchen is a bit dated but had ample cutlery and crockery and all the things you would need to cook and prepare food. There was a few basic food supplies provided when we arrived (water, milk etc). The beds were comfortable. The location was perfect. There are very good family run restaurants within a few minutes drive in Porano and on the road to Orvieto so there is no need to have to drive far. The supermarkets Lidl, Todis are all about 10 min drive away. The view across the valley to Orvieto in the evening sun is amazing.

Negative: We had to manage the hot water situation, It took quite a while to run through the cold water first, as you would expect in a large old Italian house, but also when one person was using it was impossible to turn on any other taps, hot or cold, without the hot water disappearing . It would have been nice to have some basic condiments provided - salt pepper oil etc. and a few more bin bags and dishwasher tablets. We thought we might have been able to walk to some of the local restaurants but the winding roads have no pavements so although the distance wasn't great it was not safe especially with a pushchair!

Summary: The villa was just what we wanted for a multi generational holiday.
